When curriculum planning, one has to look at the needs that need to be meet. You would have to set in place items or content that will assist in meeting those goals. Technology is now taking a front seat when planning curriculum, so making sure that whatever curriculum is being planned that technology is a tool that will be used. Will the curriculum help to assist with creating new knowledge that will be needed for future lessons? This will need to be taken into account when planning curriculum. (Galindo, 2009)

A persons personal values can influence how they plan a curriculum so it important that planners keep their personal view outside the process. When planning curriculum, it should reflect the values of the community that is being served and not that of those planning the curriculum. (Galindo, 2009)

Language barriers will continue to be in issue when trying to meet the needs of curriculum. Students especially in higher populated immigration areas will struggle with this. Technology will also play a factor. Even with technology devolving as fast as it is there are still so many homes and students that don’t have access to it. With this lack of knowledge missing from the homes it will continue to cause a gap in the learning environment.
